Currently, all online gambling, including online bingo and online casino, is run by the state-owned Danske Spil organisation, which many believe is an outdated view.  Danish law says that is the only entity that can offer any form of gambling, whether online or offline, to Danish gamblers.

Unibet CEO Petter Nylander said in a statement:  "We are looking forward to, together with the Danish government, creating a modern, regulated and responsible Danish gambling market".  He continued, pleding to work for a "modern, regulated and responsible Danish gambling market."
