The newly-crowned Premier League champions Manchester United were this weekend seen celebrating their win at the upmarket casino Manchester 235.

Among the players celebrating were England stars Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand. Despite pipping Chelsea to the title on Sunday, the players were pictured looking less than happy – suggesting the casino owners may be going home with more of a smile on their faces. They did manage to enjoy themselves on the night, partying with their WAGs, dancing on chairs and chanting victory songs.

Portuguese star pair Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani shunned the casino in favour of a night out at the exclusive Circle club.

Top players such as Tevez, Ferdinand and Wes Brown were betting thousands at the tables , which will be less of a problem if they net the £250,000 bonuses they will each receive for winning the Premier League title and Champions League final, to be played in just over a week’s time. It is reported the gamblers in the team spent £100,000 at the tables, and walked away with little to show for it.
