Police discovered the body of a newborn baby in the Las Vegas casino, in the trash on Sunday. The autopsy is expected to reveal whether the child was alive when placed where the police found it or dead prior to that.

The body was discovered in ladies restroom in the Las Vegas Strip Casino at around 9.40 pm on Sunday May 11. It was found wrapped in a hotel gift bag and a pillow case close to the lifts at the hotel-casino.

Lt. Lewis Roberts of Las Vegas police said that they are eager to find out who would throw away a newborn baby on a mothers day in a casino toilet trash.

There is a suspicion that a mother could have given birth in the casino and abandon the body after. It could have as well been someone coming from the street though. Investigators are searching hotel records, reviewing security cameras and doing all possible to find clues to this vile case.

Police are calling to everyone to come forward who could have seen something suspicious or a pregnant lady around that time somewhere around or in the casino. The investigation continues.
