Casino workers steal high-roller details
2008-06-17

A senior casino executive and two casino workers have been charged with stealing a list detailing over 20,000 of the Tropicana Casino’s high-rollers.

The list, containing the “rated players” names, addresses, phone numbers and gambling-related data, was valued at over $108million USD by the prosecutors.

The Tropicana Casino and Resort workers had been working together on the casino site, and have since left and found similar jobs in other casinos around Atlantic City and Nevada state.

The New Jersey Attorney General’s office charged the three men on Monday with theft and other offenses, naming John Conklin, James DiMarco and Justin Litterelle as the men involved.

Conklin, 47, is the supposed ringlieader, who used to be a marketing executive at the Tropicana casino, now working as the vice president of relationship marketing at another hotel casino. The other two men worked under Conklin according to authorities.
